Music is truly a universal language. I’ve never met anyone in my entire life who doesn’t like/live music and if you don’t I would love to chat😌
Personally, I grew up with the oldies’, the 80s/90s/00s and loved those eras. I remember my dad had a vinyl player and would play songs like “Fernando” and dance with me and my grandma in the evenings. Those memories will stay with me forever and I cherish them greatly. My favourite genres are RnB, some country and as of about 5-6 years ago, I’ve gotten heavily into jazz and classical music. In other words, music without words. This started during a time when I was constantly having panic attacks and didn’t want too much noise so I randomly typed in soothing music on Spotify and a new world (to me) was opened. I listened to those so much that my top Spotify music on their annual “Spotify Wrap-up” consisted of rain sounds or jazz/classical music 😅. If you walk into my home at any given moment, it’s guaranteed that jazz or classical music is playing. Below I’ve listed a few of my favourite playlists. Enjoy and happy listening💕 Soothing Playlists To Help Calm You👇🏾
This is the newest addition to my list and so far I’ve been liking it a lot. When I’m doing chores around the house I like to have it playing in the background.
Lofi beats are some of my favourites to listen to when I’m catching up on some rest and relaxation.
The name is self-explanatory. I like listening to this when I’m winding down for the evening/night. Curl up with a good book while this plays in the background is *chef’s kiss*
This playlist can serve for many relaxing activities such as colouring, reading, yoga, meditation etc.
These are only a few of my favourites and I hope you can find comfort with at least one of these playlists. Thanks for reading. Let me know in the comments what kinds of music you listen to that aides with relaxation.
Xx,
Abi💕

Thank you Mia☺️
Love this post! Music can be such an effective way to calm down and sink into a more relaxed state! It can even be used to help focus on work or focus into a state of stillness for meditation 🙂
I love the ‘Jazz in the Background’ playlist on Spotify! I have it on all the time haha. Thank you for sharing these great playlists, I’m always looking for something new. It was lovely reading about the nostalgic memories music brings, it truly unites us and is a universal language!
Music has always played an important part of my life. As I’ve grown older, hearing a older song brings back wonderful memories and emotion. I love the idea of different playlists depending on mood and activity. I will check your suggestions out. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for reading Jodie😊 I hope you’re able to find something in my suggestions that you like
